So made more Morgause icons than anyone will ever need for merlin20in20 here. (Expect a ton of Morgana/Morgause when I finally get around to making my 2x12 batch) It was a pain in the ass, because I made all the "bases" first (they are not actually bases, they were carefully cropped, long assed process of coloring bases basically before I got fancy with textures). I think they all came out pretty well. I didn't get fancy with category names or a theme this time, because I was running short on ideas and I had more pictures and options for a theme with the Morgana one. And plus I can't really call the shapes what they are, because I named the files things like scragglylookingshapething01.png and the like. Wouldn't look as professional. camelotsolstice is taking a short hiatus and has a wrap up post here you should check out if you haven't (I think I'll do a giant rec list of all the fics when they're all posted, but expect periodic mentions if something is extra awesome -- the Uther/Morgana is pretty awesome, but not my ship so I couldn't get into it). I got my present too (Mordred/Morgana) so I'm thrilled that I didn't scare my person off with my requests. I need to catch up on some myself, that big lump of long fics really made it hard to keep up and now I'm all behind. Watching Avatar made me really want to write on my next Steampunk installment, I need to get one thing done first though. Speaking of THE SHOW. Since this is all basically MERLIN MERLIN MERLIN (shocking I know). Finale tomorrow and I'm probably going to be gone socializing, so internet blackout starting right after I go to sleep. Here's hoping it somehow fixes everything I disliked about the season, or at least makes me excited for season 3. Or something. IDK. I just want region 1 DVDs of Season 1 already.

(2 (>o<) want some sugar, sugar?/) LJ Update and other news items [15 Dec 2009|11:54am] miakun I just received a response from my feedback notification to livejournal (which by the way, I was very polite when I sent it), in regards to the new code that forces you to choose a gender/taking away unspecified as an option deal. Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your concerns. We understand that gender is not binary, and intend to respect that understanding for our users. At this time, the code you reference is not live on the site, and will not become so in the future. We know that you, and many other users, have serious concerns about any requirement to specify gender, so we'd like to take a moment to explain events and our position further. The intention of this code was to change the sign-up process to include a field for the selection of gender; that the code would completely disable the "Unspecified" option at the same time was deemed unacceptable. While the code in question had gone to our beta (testing) server, it had not gone to our production server, and will not do so due to this problem. Furthermore, we'd like to clarify that code posted to the changelog community is not always final, as such code must then go through the beta testing process and can often be changed before actual implementation. Additionally, some erroneous information has been spread regarding the potential public display of the gender field. We would like to clarify that gender is not currently publicly displayed on the profile, nor anywhere else on the site, and there are no plans to change this behavior. The parts I like the best is that is a nice meaty war part of the tale and really gets into the details (plus UST, I cannot resist UST) in favor of actually building something, but still seeing a snapshot. I don't know, I like war stories and sometimes we don't get to see big campaigns in the fandom so this was really nice. Still want my gift, because I'm convinced my prompts scared my person off, but I'm not twitching or anything... much.

(want some sugar, sugar?/) An MND blog [13 Dec 2009|03:19pm] mentalsarcasm I wsa reading the newsletters of my local MNDA branch (a group I'm hoping to join next year and help with fundraising), and found a link to a very good blog in the October newsletter. http://www.dmarkcato.com/ It's a blog written by a man named Mark Cato, who currently has MND. It's a very good read, I think he really gets the effect MND has as he talks about difficulty with things like cutlery and his efforts to get around these problems. I highly recommend that anyone who is vaguely interested in MND to go and read it.

I am trying to only recommend things that really strike my attention for camelotsolstice, since so far they've all been pretty awesome, but this... THIS. Days of old and days to be is AMAZING. Regency AU with other hints of things from Arthurian Legend and basically nerdy love and love of the characters and it is completely FANTASTIC. I was spamming i_claudia every five seconds going, "THIS FIC!" and then she would go, "I KNOW" and vice versa. I HOPE YOU ARE ON MY FLIST AUTHOR, IF NOT. I'M STALKING YOU ONCE REVEALS COME OUT. They don't watch the show, they won't watch the show, but they constantly ask questions, make comments, while I'm watching - really dumb things like "Isn't that River? She's River!" It's frustrating as hell, because everytime I say, "I am not watching this until you're both out of the house." They tell me repeatedly that they won't ask questions and that why would they even care. And I watch it. And then they do. It makes me want to throw things.

That feels fantastic. I still have a million other things and the things I want to write, I'm supposed to be saving not to mention all the kinkme_merlin prompts that keep going up that I want to tackle (seriously, Gwen/Morgana, Bewitched, STOP TORTURING ME, I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO WRITE). I so want to skip and write something I discussed with staraflur last night, but that would be CHEATING, so I think I'll work on my batch of Gwen icons (because I stupidly got the due date for the merlinicons100 confused since it was written the European way, thought it was due in MARCH not the FOURTH). Cannot wait until camelotsolstice starts getting posted. I have a couple of things I wanted to read before that, things that have been on my reading list forever and a day and I should just go read them and stop freaking out about leaving lame feedback and read so I can READ and like leave the feedback that comes to me.
